Ferrule fittings is also known as a compression fitting, is a type of tubing or pipe connection that uses a compression mechanism to create a leak-tight seal between two or more components. It is commonly used in fluid systems, such as plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and in various industries including manufacturing, oil and gas, and chemical processing.

The nut is typically made of metal and has internal threads that allow it to be tightened onto another threaded component, such as a valve or a fitting. The front and back ferrules are usually made of softer materials like brass, stainless steel, or plastic.

During installation, the tubing or pipe is inserted into the ferrule fitting, and the nut is tightened. As the nut is tightened, the front ferrule is forced against the tubing, while the back ferrule is pushed radially inward.This creates a strong mechanical grip on the tubing. Simultaneously, the front ferrule forms a seal against the fitting or valve, preventing leak.
